The Dream Catcher Split is a high performance splitboard with a friendly flex. It’s the ideal split for backcountry riders looking for a playful board that’s easy to ride in any terrain or any snow condition. The Dream Catcher’s Directional shape and Directional Rocker profile provide confident stability riding through soft or rough snow. On icy skin tracks or firm descents, the Inner/Outer Traction Tech 1.0 edges offer enhanced edge grip. The Dream Catcher Split is built with premium materials including a super fast and durable Sintered 8000 base, an Eco-plastic topsheet and a Classic Core that is specially profiled for added pop. For rock solid board connection in ride mode, the Dream Catcher Split comes with screw mounted Karakoram tip + tail clips, and new for 21/22, upgraded Karakoram Ultra Clips 1.0 split clips.

Features:

Directional Flex Pattern: Off set tip-to-tail flex pattern that is designed for directional freeride boards. The nose, center of board and tail are slightly different stiffnesses to help lift the nose, sink the tail and improve stability at speed.

V-Core: Jones exclusive wood core profiling that offers a stable and playful board feel. The wood core is softer between the feet for easy turn initiation and stiffer in the nose and tail for stability riding through uneven terrain and landing airs.

Blunt Nose: "How a board glides in powder, crust, corn or any snow more than an inch deep, is dictated by it’s front contact point and just past it. Next time you are in soft snow watch how much snow comes over the corner of the nose near the contact point. The billowing snow coming out from behind the tip means you are plowing through it which is obviously slowing you down. By adding a blunt nose you get the float benefits of a much longer nose without the ‘snow plow’ rounded tip and it’s extra swing weight." - Jeremy Jones

Inside & Outside Traction Tech 2.0: Like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Traction Tech improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board.

Progressive Sidecut: At the far ends of the sidecut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.

ECO-Plastic Topsheet: Bio-plastic topsheet made from castor beans. An eco material that is ultralight, chip/scratch resistant, and water/snow repellant meaning snow sticks less to your topsheet!

Classic Core: Premium poplar core for pop, durability, and even flex,

Sintered 8000 Base: Super durable material made from Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMw-PE) and carbon. This makes it easily repairable, highly wax absorbent, so it's wicked fast.

Biax Fiberglass: A dual-direction, dual-layer, stitched fiberglass laminate providing a fun, forgiving, snappy ride.

Oversized Recycled Edges: Added durability and improved production sustainability.

Recycled Rounded ABS: Rounded sidewall finish that improves board durability by protecting topsheet from chipping.

Stainless Steel Reinforcement

Bio Resin: A bio-based epoxy made with 27% plant-based carbon instead of petroleum-based carbon. The organic materials used to make it are waste products of plant-based industrial processes. They require 33% less greenhouse gas emissions to produce than conventional epoxy.

Wend Natural Wax: Factory waxed with natural wax.

Forever Flex: Helps with stabilizing the flex and rocker of a board for its lifetime.

Flip Flop Base: Two base colour options to minimize p-tex waste. Order may be filled with either colour.

Karakoram Ultra Clips: The strongest, lowest profile splitboard clips in the world. They deliver unmatched compression between board halves and they are adjustable so you can maintain even compression as your splitboard ages.

Directional shapes generally feature a longer, softer nose and a shorter, stiffer tail. These shapes thrive in an all-mountain environment, as they possess the ability to ride more smoothly than their twin-tip counterparts and behave more reliably in variable snow conditions, anywhere from choppy snow to deeper powder. More twin-looking directional shapes where the difference between nose and tail appear minimal will perform best as crossover freestyle snowboards for those looking to still access the park, while more exaggerated differences will excel for additional float in deep powder.
