TLS Twin Lacing System

EVA Midsole: Used on all boots with rubber outsoles, the EVA midsole reduces the overall weight and provides cushioning and thermal insulation.

Air Dampening: The trusted AIR suspension technology is now featured on even more models. The best shock absorbing technology on the planet sucks up hard landings and keeps your heels from getting bruised. This noticeable difference in ride and comfort does not compromise response or control.

Therminator Shield: This thermal layer between sole and liner will reflect your body heat and keep your feet warm all day.

Armored Spine: An anatomically shaped and 3D molded heel reinforcement to provide even boot flex and long-lasting heel fit.

Flex Link Design: A flexible panel at the ankle between the upper and lower shell ensures an even flexing, responsive boot without the bulk.

45 Degree Laceglider: This precision-molded low-friction plastic insert is positioned at the crucial 45° lacing position in the ankle area. It drastically reduces lace friction and makes tying up your TLS system even easier.

Molded TLS Lace Handles: Comfortable, and easy on the hands. 

Bail Out System: Designed to make unlacing the TLS system even easier. This pull tab that is placed in the middle of the TLS lacing system on the outside of the boot allows for effortless unlacing and recording breaking speeds for taking your boots off.

ILS Liner Lacing: The ILS system features a lacing harness firmly connected to the boot shell. This harness snugly wraps around the liner, securing it in the shell and providing precise lacing and fit. Nitro's engineered ILS laces provide less friction and a Dyneema® core for added strength.

Re/Lace Liner Locker: A lace locker built into the tongue of the boot for a snug and easy to operate closure. Allows you to easily make midday adjustments on the chair or peak without having to undo your outer laces!

Ortholite® Dual Density Footbed: Fit, comfort, moisture management, energy return. Nitro developed dual density footbeds with Otholite® for support and comfort. Ortholite® compresses less than 5% with excellent levels of shock absorption and energy return. Top notch control and cushioning.

Heat Mouldable Liner: Yes, Nitro's Cloud Liners are constructed from Thermacell material, using Nitro specific lasts and our signature Latex Heel Pads. This ensures long lasting fit and comfort without fatigue. While this is not necessary, all our liners can be thermomolded for an even more custom fit. Specific heating system and tools are available.

Easy lace engagement and release, combined with the low abrasion of Nitro's Dyneema® laces are the key factors of this highly reliable zonal lacing system. At the same time, the TLS features compact size and low weight while maintaining the reliability proven by tens of thousands of days on the mountain. Even though rarely needed, servicing and replacement of all parts including the lace are easier than with any other system on the market. Even using a standard lace if you‘re in a pinch is an option only available on Nitro‘s TLS boots. Easy-entry handle storage pockets as well as our Bail Out system for easier entry and exit round off the most developed dual lacing system on the market.

This top of the line(r) features a hi-heel frame for more response and a precise fit, a lace liner locker built into the tongue, latex memory pads for a lifetime heel fit, an expandable toe box for a custom fit, and a dual density Ortholite® footbed for top notch control and cushioning.

Vibram grip and traction and an Eco-friendly approach: here is the new sole of NITRO …. made of Vibram® ECOSTEP™ Compound, an eco-friendly recycled rubber compound developed by Vibram® and made up to 50% of recycled rubber. The rubber scrap generated by Vibram’s production process is recycled in order to produce Vibram® Ecostep compound. It ’s a High-quality compound formulation, which offers a very good Vibram grip and traction on snow while preserving the environment through the waste reduction.
