From design to performance GNU's riders had a heavy hand on this one. Asymmetry, slightly wider waist widths that rail and float. Poppy stable C2x hybrid contours that slide, carve and plane. An unreal eco construction that is built to blast and last. It’s quite possibly the best board we have ever made.
- A board for riders by our riders
- Unlock freestyle unreality in the park, pow and groomers
- Asym reduces fatigue and maximizes performance
- Balsa/Aspen/Paulownia II/III Core: Sustainably Harvested, Lightest, Strong, And Poppy
- Tri-Ax/Bi-Ax Fiberglass With a Bio Fiber Dampener
- Eco-Sublimated PBT: Tough And Environmentally Friendly
- UHMW Sidewalls: Tough And Fast
Like the name suggests, hybrid profiles are a mix of camber, flat and rocker. There are heaps of different combinations of this employed by snowboard manufacturers. The rocker in the tip and tail are great for turn initiation and float in powder, whilst the camber underfoot adds stability, pop and increased edge-hold. You get the edge-hold you need from the camber section underfoot and the float in powder from the rocker sections.
A twin asymmetric board has a centered default stance and mirror-image nose and tail. As such, it is well suited to freestyle tricks and switch riding. Regardless of whether you are regular or goofy, your heel edge will be on the same side of the board (the ‘nose’ will be determined accordingly).
This specific board is a Asym level 2 which means it has a asymmetric wood core, softer flexing on heelside, deeper sidecut on the heelside and asymmetric contact angles and length. Which results in a shorter heelside contact making it easier to do tighter and more powerful heelside turns.
