What is better than carbon? More carbon! The Climax is the spawn of the world’s best rider / biggest dreamer converging with the world’s best board builders. Ultra-light tip and tails, a carbon over carbon over magnesium fiber wrapping an ultralight balsa/paulownia core. An eco sublimat- ed bio beans top and rugged sintered base on Travis’ favorite C2 freestyle friendly freeride geometries. A high performance dream ride.

“With ascension on our minds, we came up with the idea to draw one of Travis’ longtime creature guardians (his animal spirit perhaps?) the Gyre Falcon on the Climax board. With ultra vision, the Gyre comes to symbolize all the things the board aims to do – to carry the rider into a new paradigm, where riding becomes a multidimensional experience and true freedom reigns.” ~Kim Krans

Like the name suggests, hybrid profiles are a mix of camber, flat and rocker. There are heaps of different combinations of this employed by snowboard manufacturers. The rocker in the tip and tail are great for turn initiation and float in powder, whilst the camber underfoot adds stability, pop and increased edge-hold. You get the edge-hold you need from the camber section underfoot and the float in powder from the rocker sections.
Carves the resort, plays in the park and slays the powder. We worked with Travis Rice to develop this perfectly balanced all terrain contour. Mild rocker between your feet combined with powerful cambers to the tips and tails. Enough power, pop, and precision to hit the biggest wedges. Enough float and freedom to rip the gnarliest AK lines. • Full contact and control in all conditions • Central rocker builds in carve, edge hold and float • Powerful cambers build in pop, stability and control
Directional boards typically have a longer, pointier nose, with a stance set back towards the tail. This makes them better suited to riding forwards. These boards will carve well on the piste and plough easily through powder – since the short tail naturally sinks while the large nose floats over the snow.
This board has a recommended setback of .75" meaning it'll carve like no other and float well in pow.
