There are a lot of skaters out there who feel that the Madrid Fly is the greatest skate shoe ever created. It originally released in 1987 and was Vans' first collaboration with a skateboard brand. The Madrid Fly was the model that paved the way for 1988's Native American and marked the transition from vert to the new street skating that was taking the sport by storm.
For 2016, the Vans Madrid Fly gets all of the Pro Classic updates including premium black suede uppers, Duracap toe bumpers, and UltraCush HD insoles. All of the classic stylings are still there including the reinforced ollie pad, rubberized half-moon vamp, Madrid Fly quarters with the classic Madrid woven label.
