BEHIND THE PRODUCT

The Moderator is your new quiver killer. Truly one board for everything. A medium (some might even say moderate) flex with a Tapered Directional Extra Camber profile, this board is built for smooth turns and pop while having just enough rise in the nose to float on those deeper days. No need to swap out decks or change your stance depending on conditions. The Moderator should be ridden in a standard length, no downsize needed. The Tapered Linear Quadratic Sidecut is designed for smooth turn initiation and powerful grip without washing out. The Moderator features our Slim Wall construction, where a urethane layer runs along the edge of the board to increase flex and damping to create a board that is at home anywhere on the mountain. This is a premium all-mountain board and features RIDE's Performance™ Light Core, Carbon Array™ 3, Sintered Stone Ground Base, and bio-resin. The Moderator will take you anywhere you want to go.

*Wide: A wider waist width for those with larger footprints. Recommended for boot sizes 11.5+*

PRODUCT FEATURES

Key Features:

  • Glassing: Hybrid Glass - Triaxial on top, biaxial on base; balanced torsional flex and stiffness for better response with speed.
  • Core: Performance™ Light Core: Specially formulated for the women’s line, this core combines lightweight Paulownia wood stringers with high strength Aspen.
  • Base: Sintered Stone Ground Race Base - High-end sintered 4000 Ptex base material that is more durable, harder and faster than extruded.
  • Linear Quadratic Side-cut - A directional side-cut utilizing Quadratic curvature from the tip to the rear insert pack, then progressing into a linear section into the tail. This creates smooth catch-free turn initiation and powerful support through the turn exit without losing grip.
  • Slim Walls - RIDE's Slim Wall technology is the evolution of our Roll-in Construction to its extreme limit. By creating a fully 3-D composite structure over Slimewall® material, this revolutionary technology results in more efficient energy transfer, lighter weight construction, and even better damping.
  • Linear Carbon - Two strips of carbon added below the core provide more snap for ollie power.
  • Single Impact Plates - Added underneath each binding area to improve compressive strength and prevent board breaks where it matters most.
  • Carbon Array 3™ - This power distribution technology provides total board control in every stance location. Widespread carbon stringers placed at the binding zone gather input from any stance width and all pressure angles. Rider input is then channeled to the opposing contact point for maximum board control.

In-depth Tech Specs:

  • Profile: Directional Extra Camber - Camber underfoot with a bit of rocker lift in the nose gives you the ultimate best of both worlds for a pow ready board that holds up in any condition.
This board bend has entry rocker that adds lift to the nose while a camber section under both feet maintains momentum and stability through deep-driving turns and variable conditions. This bend caters to those who like the attributes of traditional camber but want something that will get up to speed and float easier in pow.
  • Shape: Tapered Directional: A smooth, reliable ride. Directional shapes generally feature a longer, softer nose and a shorter, stiffer tail. These shapes thrive in an all-mountain environment, as they possess the ability to ride more smoothly than their twin-tip counterparts and behave more reliably in variable snow conditions, anywhere from choppy snow to deeper powder. More twin-looking directional shapes where the difference between nose and tail appear minimal will perform best as crossover freestyle snowboards for those looking to still access the park, while more exaggerated differences will excel for additional float in deep powder.
  • Flex: 6 Versatility. From the park to the peaks and anything in-between.
