BEHIND THE PRODUCT

The wood core, variable thickness, and top sheet material are all optimized for splitboard use, and have been designed to bring out the best characteristics of the solid board version.

The phantom Hercules hooks adopted from the 19-20 season have a lightweight simple structure, are highly reliable, and allow for easy mode switching in harsh conditions. Aluminum protectors have been added to the nose and tail to minimize damage to the board during touring. The Tip-Lock is also fixed with a through-screw, making it easy to replace in the unlikely event of failure or damage. Carried from the 22-23 season, a reinforcing fiberglass sheet has been added around the inserts to protect the wood core from binding impact.

PRODUCT FEATURES

Key Features:

  • Bamboo - Using a bamboo for a top-sheet dampens the ride and offers chatter-free performance. The natural material also eliminates some plastic and lacquer which improves board sustainability.
  • Stainless Steel Edges - Extremely durable and provides optimal grip and in all conditions.
  • Base: Sintered - High-end base material that is harder, more durable, and faster than extruded bases.
  • Inserts: 4x4

In-depth Tech Specs:

  • Profile: Accel Camber - GENTEMSTICK’s radical Accel Camber eliminates hooking and prevents nosedives in deep powder or fresh snow, while maintaining a natural floatation. It is designed and shaped to perform its best when the rider stands neutrally on top of the board. It's made flat from the widest point of the nose to the front foot. The arch begins there and reaches the highest around the back foot, and it ends at the widest point of the tail. When a rider stands on the board, the arch gets pushed and the area ahead of the front foot barely touches the snow. This is the position that maximizes the performance of the board, and also the same position that reaches maximum velocity in ski races and other speed competitions. The GENTEMSTICK Accel camber boards are distinctly designed, especially from the point where the camber ends to the widest point of the nose, with the focus to reduce resistance.
  • Shape: Directional Tapered - Directional tapered boards excel in a pure mountain environment. The tail sinks in pow for better float and quicker turns. A directional shape with a longer, softer nose and a shorter, stiffer tail get taken to the next level with a tapering design—which sees a wider nose tapering into a narrower tail. The advantages are two-fold: this shape not only sees mega-enhanced floatation with a surfy feel in deep powder, it also creates a faster turning snowboard which is noticeably more nimble and great for tree riding.
  • Flex: 4 - Versatility at its finest. From groomers to pow and anywhere in between.
