Step into the Driver's Seat.
The men's Burton Ripcord Snowboard brings an easygoing ride to accelerate your riding into more advanced terrain. It's a classic directional board with a little more nose than tail for the control to handle mixed conditions. A softer and more playful flex opens the door to more moves, while giving you more room to grow than most entry level boards.

Profile: Flat
Terrain: All-mountain
Response: Playful

Features:

  • Directional Shape: The classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while providing plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition.
  • 5mm Taper: Makes for easy turning, providing the feel and focus of a directional board without anything holding you back from riding it like a twin.
  • Flat Top Bend: Provides stability, balance, and continuous edge control helping the tip and tail kick up for a catch-free and loose riding experience; Easy Bevel gives riders an incredibly soft and forgiving board with super soft flex and a convex base that lifts the edges off the snow, making it virtually impossible to catch an edge.
  • Directional Flex: Features increased pop in the tail and a more resilient nose that allows riders to easily maintain control through all terrain and conditions.
  • Fly 900G Core: A classic tip-to-tail wood core that utilizes the best of two wood species to lighten the load without sacrificing flex, pop, or strength.
  • Biax Fiberglass: Features a jib-friendly, torsionally soft flex and a forgiving feel that's great for beginning riders or the park.
  • Extruded Base: Provides speed and strength and requires little in the way of maintenance.
  • The Channel® Board Mount: Designed to help dial in the perfect stance and is compatible with all major bindings.
  • Wide: for riders with 11.5+ boots

Profile: Flat-Top

Stability, balance and edge control.
A completely flat base allows for complete stability, making it the ideal board profile to learn to snowboard on. When the rider’s weight is on the board the nose and tail are kicked up for a catch free and loose riding experience.

Shape: Directional

A smooth, reliable ride.
Directional shapes generally feature a longer, softer nose and a shorter, stiffer tail. These shapes thrive in an all-mountain environment, as they possess the ability to ride more smoothly than their twin-tip counterparts and behave more reliably in variable snow conditions, anywhere from choppy snow to deeper powder. More twin-looking directional shapes where the difference between nose and tail appear minimal will perform best as crossover freestyle snowboards for those looking to still access the park, while more exaggerated differences will excel for additional float in deep powder.

Flex: 3 (Scale 1 - 10)

Forgiving, easy to learn and progress on.

Base: Extruded

Low and easy maintenance, less expensive. Great for beginners and Freestyle riders.
