The Smokescreen is catered to the rider who wants to take their all-mountain skills to the next level without sacrificing anything in engineering innovation. The Directional Hybrid Rocker board comes equipped with Tapered Elliptical Progressive Side-cut to smooth out turns initiated with speed and Slimewalls® to reduce vibration and dampen all the conditions that Mother Nature can throw your way. A Sintered, Stone Ground base sucks up wax to keep you mobbing all winter and Carbon Array 3™ gives you plenty of pop if there’s an obstacle you prefer to ollie instead of going around it. This board is all the smoke in every way and it’s ripe for the rippin’ this winter.
- Directional Extra Camber: A directional shape with a hybrid profile that has more camber than rocker.
Elliptical Progressive Side-cut: Designed exclusively for the Commissioner, this side-cut combines tight elliptical curvature at the tip and tail to provide low-speed initiation and response with a larger radial section between the feet for high-speed stability and tracking.
- Sintered Base: High-end sintered 4000 P-tex base material that is more durable, harder and faster than extruded.
- Performance™ Core: High strength Aspen is combined with Bamboo and lightweight Paulownia wood to provide the perfect balance of strong and light.
Slimewalls®: Ride’s exclusive Slimewalls® are forgiving and ductile, absorbing impacts rather than defending against them. Just like your skate wheels, the urethane in Slimewalls® smoothes the interaction with the snow, wood or metal surfaces you may ride on. On top of all that, these babies are virtually indestructible, the most durable sidewalls in snowboarding.
Roll-in Construction: Unique 3D structure built around our urethane Slimewall® sidewalls. Designed to increase overall board strength, prevent top-sheet chipping, and reduce weight.
Carbon Array Laminates: This power distribution technology provides total board control in every stance location. Widespread carbon stringers placed at the binding zone gather input from any stance width and all pressure angles. Rider input is then channeled to the opposing contact point for maximum board control. Offered in two levels of technology, 3 & 5.
Hybrid Glass: Triaxial on top, biaxial on base; balanced torsional flex and stiffness for better response with speed.
Impact Plates Laminates: Added underneath each binding area to improve compressive strength and prevent board breaks where it matters most. Offered in two levels, Single and Double.
- Topless Construction: By transferring graphics directly to the fiberglass, Topless Construction removes the need to have any top-sheet material. This process improves overall durability and reduces weight.
- Warranty: 3 years
- Wide: for riders with 11.5+ boots
Profile: Directional Camber
Camber underfoot with a bit of rocker lift in the nose gives you the ultimate best of both worlds for a pow ready board that holds up in any condition. This board bend has entry rocker that adds lift to the nose while a camber section under both feet maintains momentum and stability through deep-driving turns and variable conditions. This bend caters to those who like the attributes of traditional camber but want something that will get up to speed and float easier in pow.
Shape: Directional Tapered
Directional tapered boards excel in a pure mountain environment. The tail sinks in pow for better float and quicker turns. A directional shape with a longer, softer nose and a shorter, stiffer tail get taken to the next level with a tapering design—which sees a wider nose tapering into a narrower tail. The advantages are two-fold: this shape not only sees mega-enhanced floatation with a surfy feel in deep powder, it also creates a faster turning snowboard which is noticeably more nimble and great for tree riding.
Flex: 5-6 (Scale 1 - 10)
Medium flex. Versatility at its finest. From the park to the peak and anywhere in between.
High-end base material that is harder, more durable, and faster than extruded bases.
