3BT Technology: Through lots of research, analyzing, tinkering, and testing, Bataleon came up with the patented 3BT™ shaping technique. All Bataleon boards feature tip to tail positive camber in combination with lifted contact points at the widest part of the board. Over the years Bataleon has perfected 3BT™ to best perform for every kind of riding by fine tuning the synergies between the flat base, side bases, radii and camber.

Flat Base Riding

The widest section of the board is lifted off the snow while riding flat based. This allows you to ride straight without hooking up or needing to keep your edges engaged.

 Turn Initiation

When set on a slight angle, the sidebase starts to engage near the bindings. Unlike traditional flat boards, pressure remains constant along the contact edge.

 On Edge

While on edge, the 3D shaped sidecut forms a complete arc with the snow, offering unparalleled grip and turning power.

• 3BT: Triple Base Technology™ is awesome. The lifted sidebase areas at the widest points of the board make a lot of sense. The boards turn smoother and faster and it helps when you are not completely clean on your landings.
• Sidekick: SideKick™ dramatically increases the sidebase uplift at the widest points of the nose and tail. This makes turn initiation even smoother, increases float in powder and handling of the board in rough terrain.
• D.S.T. Supertubes: Dual Super Tubes, a Super Tube on either side of the board enhances pop and gives the camber more snap. Supertubes™ are hollow carbon cylinders that are inserted directly into the core. They reinforce the camber, reduce weight and greatly increase pop. By varying their location they can fine-tune the board’s performance further.
• Carbon Stringers Extra Layup: Tried and tested carbon layups. Bataleon deploy them in different areas to fine-tune the feel of each model.
• Triax Laminate: A three-way weave of fiberglass is light, strong and responsive. We use this to beef up the flex pattern.
• Ultralight Woodcore: A 70/30 Swiss Paulownia and poplar blend that offers awesome strength to weight.
• Flip Flop Base: Producing two or more base color options minimizes p-tex waste. That is why you will find flip flop base options on most die-cut bases. Usually this is not an option at checkout, but a fun little surprise!

The side profile of camber looks like a rainbow. Tried and true, camber has been the dominant board bend in the snowboard industry for almost 40 years. Adopted from the bend of alpine skis, camber snowboards deliver precise turning and edge control, with spring-loaded pop due to the bend in the board, providing better jumping characteristics. Advanced riders tend to prefer this bend, especially for hard carving and high-speed riding. Even when it comes to softer park snowboards, camber boards deliver exceptional pop and control.
