BEHIND THE PRODUCT

Contrary to expectations, the sharp and aggressive carving performance of the Rocketfish is driven by the minimum-taper waistless design. On the other hand, the Rocketfish High Performance is slightly skinnier with a little more taper resulting in a better controllability in all circumstances. It turns swiftly when pressing hard on it, and cruises graciously when maneuvered gently. Its width, taper and deep swallowtail makes it the perfect pow-board answer to lightweight riders.

Profile: Accel Camber - GENTEMSTICK’s radical Accel Camber eliminates hooking and prevents nosedives in deep powder or fresh snow, while maintaining a natural floatation. It is designed and shaped to perform its best when the rider stands neutrally on top of the board. It's made flat from the widest point of the nose to the front foot. The arch begins there and reaches the highest around the back foot, and it ends at the widest point of the tail. When a rider stands on the board, the arch gets pushed and the area ahead of the front foot barely touches the snow. This is the position that maximizes the performance of the board, and also the same position that reaches maximum velocity in ski races and other speed competitions. The GENTEMSTICK Accel camber boards are distinctly designed, especially from the point where the camber ends to the widest point of the nose, with the focus to reduce resistance.
Shape: Directional Tapered - Directional tapered boards excel in a pure mountain environment. The tail sinks in pow for better float and quicker turns. A directional shape with a longer, softer nose and a shorter, stiffer tail get taken to the next level with a tapering design—which sees a wider nose tapering into a narrower tail. The advantages are two-fold: this shape not only sees mega-enhanced floatation with a surfy feel in deep powder, it also creates a faster turning snowboard which is noticeably more nimble and great for tree riding.
