The Ultra Flagship is a seriously stiff, competition-ready freeride board designed to crush steep terrain at top speed. Built with Fusion Carbon construction, the Ultra Flagship features a 3D Contour Base 3.0, an Ash wood veneer topsheet plus multiple layers of carbon stringers that offer supreme stability at speed and eliminate chatter in rough snow. The Ultra Flagship’s tapered shape sinks the tail in pow for better float and quicker turns and the Power Core and Traction Tech 3.0 edges deliver unmatched torsional response and edge control. The Ultra Base is the fastest base we’ve ever tested and comes factory waxed with multiple wax types for better glide in variable snow temperatures. New for 21/22, the Ultra Flagship has Power Plates along the edges of the wood core on both sides of the inserts for less edge chatter and even more explosive response.
Features:
3D Base Contour 3.0: Freeride focused 3D Contour Base featuring a 7mm of spoon bevel in the nose and 0 to 7mm of spoon bevel in the tail. Spoon bevel starts at the rocker point.
Tapered Shape: 12.5mm
Directional Flex Pattern: Off set tip-to-tail flex pattern that is designed for directional freeride boards. The nose, center of board and tail are slightly different stiffnesses to help lift the nose, sink the tail and improve stability at speed.
V-Core: Jones exclusive wood core profiling that offers a stable and playful board feel. The wood core is softer between the feet for easy turn initiation and stiffer in the nose and tail for stability riding through uneven terrain and landing airs.
Blunt Nose: "How a board glides in powder, crust, corn or any snow more than an inch deep, is dictated by it’s front contact point and just past it. Next time you are in soft snow watch how much snow comes over the corner of the nose near the contact point. The billowing snow coming out from behind the tip means you are plowing through it which is obviously slowing you down. By adding a blunt nose you get the float benefits of a much longer nose without the ‘snow plow’ rounded tip and it’s extra swing weight." - Jeremy Jones
Traction Tech 3.0: Traction Tech 3.0 features three bumps per edge (front binding, board center, back binding). The middle bump is slightly bigger than the outside bumps for better grip.
Progressive Sidecut: At the far ends of the sidecut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.
Ash Veneer: Thin ash wood veneer layer that functions as both a protective topsheet and a global reinforcement layer. The thin wood stringers that make up the topsheet provide even flex and suck up chatter from uneven snow conditions.
Fusion Carbon: This cutting edge board lay-up process is the latest evolution of our previous Fusion Tech construction and reduces board weight and improves durability by combining board materials in two stages.
Power Plates
Power Core: Triple-density full wood core featuring hardwood bamboo stringers for added pop and durability plus paulownia for weight savings.

Jones tested every inch of the board to precisely position materials exactly where they are needed while eliminating all excess materials. Float Pack Inserts: Allows super setback stance for deep pow days.

Lab results and snow testing show 25% better wax absorption, better glide in warm/wet snow and better durability for grinding. We’ve also doubled the amount of wax and mixed multiple wax types for a faster factory wax in a wider range of conditions.
Recycled Edges
Recycled Black ABS: ABS Plastic is one of the necessary evils of snowboard production. Jones improve the sustainability of their snowboards by using only recycled plastic.
Bio Resin: A bio-based epoxy made with 27% plant-based carbon instead of petroleum-based carbon. The organic materials used to make it are waste products of plant-based industrial processes. They require 33% less greenhouse gas emissions to produce than conventional epoxy.
Wend Natural Wax: Factory waxed with natural wax.
Forever Flex: Helps with stabilizing the flex and rocker of a board for its lifetime.
Wide: A wider waist width for those with larger footprints. Recommended for boot sizes 11.5+

Directional Camber
Camber underfoot with a bit of rocker lift in the nose gives you the ultimate best of both worlds for a pow ready board that holds up in any condition.
This board bend has entry rocker that adds lift to the nose while a camber section under both feet maintains momentum and stability through deep-driving turns and variable conditions. This bend caters to those who like the attributes of traditional camber but want something that will get up to speed and float easier in pow.

Directional tapered boards excel in a pure mountain environment. The tail sinks in pow for better float and quicker turns.
A directional shape with a longer, softer nose and a shorter, stiffer tail get taken to the next level with a tapering design—which sees a wider nose tapering into a narrower tail. The advantages are two-fold: this shape not only sees mega-enhanced floatation with a surfy feel in deep powder, it also creates a faster turning snowboard which is noticeably more nimble and great for tree riding.
