BEHIND THE PRODUCT

For little tykes that wanna go big, the Zero Jr. is a Twin Standard Camber board that aims to reduce edge catching, make it easier to initiate turns so they can get the hang of the edge-to-edge transition of riding groomers and soften the vibrations that can cause kids to fall. Packed with similar construction as our adult-size Zero model, the Zero Jr. is the perfect way to introduce your little one to riding or let them take it to the next level if they have their feet solidly under them after a few winters on the hill.

PRODUCT FEATURES

Features:

  • Asymmetrical Quadratic Sidecut: Asymmetric sidecut shaping improves heelside turn initiation and control. A sidecut specifically engineered for toeside turns and another specific to heelside makes the board just feels right.
  • Foundation™ Core: Tip-to-tail Aspen wood core with proven durability that retains pop and flex.
  • Cleave Edge™: Nearly 50% more steel, delivers unmatched resistance to edge cracking and can be detuned to larger radii.
  • Slim Walls: RIDE's Slim Wall technology is the evolution of our Roll-in Construction to its extreme limit. By creating a fully 3-D composite structure over Slimewall® material, this revolutionary technology results in more efficient energy transfer, lighter weight construction, and even better damping.
  • Single Impact Plates: Added underneath each binding area to improve compressive strength and prevent board breaks where it matters most. Offered in two levels, Single and Double.
  • Biaxial Glass: 90° and 0° angles, fun and forgiving.

In-Depth Features:

  • Camber Profile: Precision, control and pop. The side profile of camber looks like a rainbow. Tried and true, camber has been the dominant board bend in the snowboard industry for almost 40 years. Adopted from the bend of alpine skis, camber snowboards deliver precise turning and edge control, with spring-loaded pop due to the bend in the board, providing better jumping characteristics.
  • Asymmetrical Shape: Asymmetrical boards offer an additional dimension to snowboard design. With a designated toe and heel edge, asymmetrical boards truly realize that your foot is definitely *not symmetrical*. The toe edge is generally slightly longer with a shallower, less aggressive side-cut and the heel edge is generally slightly shorter with a deeper, more reactive side-cut. This is all designed to minimize rider fatigue, while maximizing performance through easier, more natural feeling heel-side turns for better response, better carving and more fun!
  • Extruded Base: An extruded base is the "reliable workhorse" of snowboard bases. It's made by melting and shaping a solid sheet of high-density polyethylene. Think of it as a tough plastic base. Extruded bases are low-maintenance and less expensive than sintered bases. They may not be as fast as sintered bases, they still offer a quality ride for beginner or intermediate riders.
