PRODUCT INFORMATION
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Developed as a go-to, ride-it-all deck, the Basic has been refined over the years to the
point that both pros and newbies reach for it on a regular basis. The UnderBite outline extracts more arc, more hold and a better carving experience out of every design we apply it to and the Basic was the genesis of it all. Guillaume Rousseaux designed the board.
Profile: Multi-Camber
Terrain: All Mountain
Response: Medium Responsive
Features:
- Core: Poplar: YES's baseline core for tip to tail wood-core snowboard construction. Strikes a predictable balance between durability, consistent flex and light weight.
- Biax Fiberglass
- Underbite: UnderBite edges re-distribute a rider’s weight in such a way that it enhances turning ease and edge hold. Creating divots inward at the binding area reduces and disrupts the surface area of the edge that has contact with the snow while the board is turning. This increases the edge pressure by distributing your weight/energy in the areas where you need it - from the binding out, and through the center of the board where the carving arc is taking place. This segmentation of the sidecut into 3 key zones focuses your body weight onto areas that initiate, hold and release turns.
- Wide: For 11.5+ Men's snowboard boots
Profile: Camrock 4-4-4 (Multi-Camber)
The response of camber with floatability of rocker. By combining camber and rocker you allow the board to be both responsive and floaty. The camber is between your feet as a spring keeping your contact points on the ground as you go in and out of turns allowing you to keep that edge hold longer. Once compressed the camber will accentuate the rocker and lift the nose out more allowing it to float.
Shape: Twin
A completely symmetrical shape, which thrives in a variety of freestyle situations. At the core of its design, the twin shape features an identical nose and tail shape, which provides an identical feel and predictable maneuverability whether riding regular or switch. Although originally developed with park riders in mind, twin shapes have also grown to be embraced by many all-mountain riders that like to bring a skateboard style riding out of the park and onto the entire mountain.
Flex: 5 (Scale 1 - 10)
Versatility at its finest. From the park to the peak and anywhere in between.
Base: Extruded
Low and easy maintenance, less expensive. Great for beginners and Freestyle riders.
